Job Description
As an Electrical Estimator at ITI, you’ll play a key role in helping win critical power work across our Manufacturing and Field Service groups. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Calgary, AB, with flexibility for the right candidate to work remotely or from Victoria, BC.
You’ll be part of the Sales Support team, working closely with sales, engineering, procurement, quality, and operations to turn complex RFQs into accurate budgets, firm quotations, and proposal documents. This role is ideal for someone who understands electrical scopes, sees risk early, and wants to help shape the work ITI wins across critical infrastructure projects.
What you’ll work on may include:
– Reviewing customer RFQ packages, specifications, single-line diagrams, schedules, and related project documents
– Building estimate sheets, material take-offs, labour pricing, and proposal documents
– Soliciting supplier and subcontractor pricing to support accurate quotations and conceptual budgets
– Collaborating with the sales team to support bid strategy and pre-sale technical review meetings
– Identifying scope gaps, risk items, and cost drivers during estimate development
– Supporting post-sale handoff meetings and helping maintain accurate CRM and proposal information
– Assisting with cost analysis, competitive review, and continuous improvement of estimating standards and proposal processes
You’ll gain broad exposure to how complex electrical opportunities are evaluated, priced, and handed over for execution, while building the estimating skills that support long-term success in a fast-moving project environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Practical, can-do problem-solving approach with initiative and determination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a professional attitude and willingness to learn
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel as required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid passport
